Incorporate sign language at workplaces – Kufuor

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor says Ghanaian institutions must begin to appreciate the use of sign language at the work environment.

He made the point when a delegation from the Supreme Sign Institute paid a courtesy call on him this week.

“This would improve communication in a great deal as it encompasses all spheres of human existence as far as disability is concern.”

Mr Newell Agbe, Executive Director of Supreme Sign Institute, says it’s easy for one to learn basic sign language, adding it was crucial to the everyday work environment.
