Akonkonti-Odumase (B/A) June 30, GNA - The Islamic Council for Humanitarian Services, Ghana, has constructed a mosque for Moslems at Akonkonti-Odumase in the Nkoranza District to promote the Islamic Religion in the area. Murad Abdul Rahaman Aliyu Al-Balushi and his wife from the United Arab Emirates, funded the project, worth millions of cedis.
Malam Moro Dagomba, Dagomba Chief of the area told Ghana News Agency at Akonkonti-Odumase the mosque serves about 300 Moslems from Communities, including Timiabu, Taaho, Boano, Dromankuma, Madina and Asekye-Krukese. He expressed gratitude to the sponsors of the project saying, it would have taken them several years to complete it.
Malam Abdulai Mamprusi, Imam and leader of the Muslim Sect said they were satisfied to worship in a decent environment.
