Nkoranza (B/A), Nov. 19, GNA- International Association of Humanitarian Medicine (IAHM), an Italian NGO, is to rehabilitate the Nkoranza Health Centre at the cost of 3,000 Euros. Mr James Kwabena Appiah-Awuah, Nkoranza District Chief Executive (DCE), disclosed this, when he briefed the Ghana News Agency on his two weeks trip to Italy at the invitation of the NGO. The DCE said his visit enabled him to share ideas with the donors and to inform them about the health needs of the people of Nkoranza. Mr Appiah-Awuah commended the NGO for supporting the district and said the Assembly would also offer its support towards the project. He commended Africa Libera, another NGO in the area, for presenting beds and other health items to the Saint Theresa's hospital at Nkoranza and the construction of a nursery school at Busunya. The DCE said he also met and interacted with members of "Nkoranza Kroye Kuo", an association of Nkoranza citizens based in Italy, who commended the government for the creation of the new district. He said the "Nkoranza Kroye Kuo" supplied 10,000 exercise books to Junior High Schools in the district last academic year.
