Suhum (E/R), Mar. 3, GNA - The government of Japan has donated 63,900 dollars under its Japanese Government Human Security Project Scheme to the people of Traio, a farming community near Suhum, in the Eastern Region for the construction of a six-unit classroom block. The project would include a store, office, staff accommodation, a library and 12-seater KVIP.

The Assemblyman for the area, Mr Evans Vondee, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday, expressed the community's appreciation to the Japanese government for the assistance. He said the project, which is expected to start soon, would be completed by August, on time for the opening of the new academic year.

According to Mr Vondee, over 320 pupils in and around the Traio community would benefit from the project, which would enhance their education.
