The Jomoro District Assembly and the Member of Parliament for the Area, Wing Commander Francis Kabenla Anaman (rtd) have presented food items to Muslims in the district towards the celebration of the Eid-Ul-Fitr.
The items include 90 bags of rice, 20 cartons of cooking oil, five bags of sugar and three rams.
The Jomoro District Chief Executive, Mr Sylvester Daddie, presented 50 bags of rice, 10 cartons of oil, five bags of sugar and three rams on behalf of the MP to the Muslims at Half Assini.
According to the DCE, an official of the Assembly also presented the rest of the items on behalf of the Assembly to the Muslims.
Mr Daddie appealed to the Muslim youth not to engage in violence after the Supreme Court verdict on the election petition later this month.
The Jomoro District chief Imam, Alhaji Mamma who received items the items, thanked the Assembly and the MP.
