Jomoro CPP constituency elect officers

Mr. Isaac Kaku Buah, a Tema-based businessman, was on Friday elected unopposed as the Jomoro constituency Chairman of the Convention People's Party (CPP) at a delegates' meeting at Tikobo Number One.

Mr Agyalu, a 64-year old farmer, was elected unopposed as the constituency secretary while Francis Amihere, 42, of the Ghana Wildlife Society, was elected as the Press secretary of the party.

Mr Amihere polled 67 votes to beat his opponent Mr Nestor Sawyer who had 26 votes.

Mr Musah Musah Aboagye, 45, polled 47 votes to beat his challenger Mr Francis Akesseh who had 24 votes to win the post of the Youth Organiser.

Mr Paul Sime was elected unopposed as the treasurer while Mr Bernard Akatia polled 51 votes against 27 votes by Mr Daniel Ocran to win the post of the Financial Secretary.

Miss Grace Armah a seamstress polled 57 votes as against 22 votes by Miss Cecelia Aryenah to emerge as the Women's organiser.

The position of the men's organiser went to Mr. Victor Ayibiah who had 57 votes to beat three other contestants in the race.

The elections were conducted by the Electoral Commission and supervised by the Dr. Assieah Kwesi Western Regional Chairman of the Party.

Dr. Kwesi told the new officers to remain loyal to the party and work hard to enhance the chances of the party in the next elections.

The new chairman and his other members also pledged to live by their promises in order to ensure victory for the party.
