Jomoro MP distributes free laptops to schools

The Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Wing Commander Francis Kabenlah Anaman (rtd) has started distributing free laptops and accessories to some deprived schools in the district.

The MP made this known when he gave five of the laptops and their accessories to the Ghana Nugua District Assembly Basic JSS.

He mentioned other beneficiary schools as Elubo Islamic Primary, Ehoaka JSS, Mpeasem, Twenen Catholic, Ahobre Junction and BEMANT Primary schools.

He said 40 laptops and their accessories were obtained from Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC).

Wing Commander Anaman said his visit to the schools sometime last year revealed that most of the children from majority of the schools in the district had never sighted or tried their hands on a computer.

He said the children told him they heard about the equipment during ICT teaching by their teachers.
