Ghanaian journalists have been urged to make good use of relevant apps on their Ipads to enhance their performance and meet timelines.

Mrs Taryn Hyam, Communication Manager of CORE Group Africa, official distributors of Apple products, told a training session at a workshop tagged 'Mobile Journalism' that there were hundreds of journalistic friendly applications available on the app store and these could help both broadcast and print journalists perform their tasks quickly and efficiently.

These applications, which ranges from photo editing, video editing and enhancers, notes taking, interview recording and transcribing, bulk file downloading and emailing, among others, could help in a live broadcast, podcast, sharing of recorded files and notes among colleagues as well as in website management in or out of the office

CORE Group Africa last year began sales through approved outlets in the country to enable customers buy genuine Apple iPads from authorized distributors so as to eliminate the problem customers’ face getting the products from third parties, and to ensure credible warranty for all purchased products.

The training session was part of Core Group Africa's pledge to provide buyers of Apple products the benefit of good customer services, training on the use of the iPads as a lifestyle gadget and after sales support from trained resellers.

Mrs Hyam said the use of the full range of applications would enhance the experience and opportunities that iPads provide.

She assured customers of the necessary service support in-country for the product.

Core Group Africa is responsible for the distribution of Apple products in Ghana, Nigeria, Southern Africa and Angola.
