The story of a young boy who got burnt during a fire outbreak in his family home at Akyem Maase in the Eastern Region has touched the heart of Joy Industries Limited to support him undergo surgery at the Burns and Plastic Surgery unit of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Joy Industries Limited, Dr. Manfred Takyi after hearing of the sad story of the poor boy donated an amount of GH¢ 40,000.00 to take care of the boy's surgery which is scheduled for Monday, March 26, 2018.

Divine Mother and Child Foundation (DMAC) which is the official health partner of Joy Industries received the donation.

Joy Industries through the DMAC Foundation since 2014 has supported over 50 poor and needy people in the Eastern Region to undergo surgeries for various medical conditions and also paid the medical bills for others.

The foundation is still in need of more donations from individuals and organizations to support the poor boy and his family as he goes through the surgery.
