KEEA MP urges constituents to unite for development

Elmina (C/R) Jan. 27, GNA - Dr Joseph Samuel Annan, Member of Parliament (MP) for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) constituency, on Sunday asked members of the various political parties in the constituency to unite and fight towards the accelerated development of the area, with the elections over. He stressed that it was time people in the KEEA, rallied behind him irrespective of their political affiliations, to enable him perform the task ahead of him.

Dr Annan made the call at a non-denominational thanksgiving service he organised at Elmina, to thank God and the people of KEEA, for his election to parliament. He promised to work hard to ensure that KEEA got its share of the national cake, adding that he will be MP for all and not only for the NDC.


Preaching the sermon, Reverend Robert Acquah, Vice-President of the Elmina Chapter of the Local Council of Churches, advised the people to bury their political differences and unite to "move the nation forward together".

He said to accomplish the task ahead, there was the need to "love each other and do away with animosity and backbiting". Rev. Acquah urged the people to rally behind their new MP as well as President Mills, adding that, there was the need for sacrifice and work hard to enable the nation attain her developmental goals. Prayers were said for President Mills, the MP and for the nation.
