Literacy Day celebration in Kumasi on Wednesday under the theme: "Read Aloud." He said the action by the KMA was in line with its efforts at promoting education, the bedrock of national development. He spoke of the determination of the Assembly to help provide additional=

structures for schools to enhance teaching and learning.

It would also award scholarships to brilliant but needy pupils and students to pursue academic careers. Mr Sarpong said the KMA through collaboration with Israel sponsored the training of 15 pre-school teachers in Israel, last year. He encouraged parents and guardians to inculcate in children the ha= bit of reading loudly at all times.
