He garnered 289 votes representing 47.69% out of the total valid votes cast in the keenly contested elections.

His two closest contenders, Eleazer Poku Addae Owusu and Daryl N.A Vanderpuye obtained 161 votes representing 26.56% and 146 votes representing 24.09% respectively, out of the total 606 valid votes cast.

The KNUST Law School has been divided into two streams of students; the ‘regular students’ who directly are recruits from Senior High Schools, and ‘evening students’ christened as ‘part-time’ students, comprising of persons with advanced learning certificates like 1st degree, masters degree or PhD holders.

In the almost 20 years of KNUST’s Law School history, the student leadership front has been mostly led by ‘regular’ students with an occasional blend of a regular student as the main president and a part-time student as running mate or vice-versa.

However, the jinx was broken this time around where two students’ who are christened ‘part-timers’ emerged victorious as President and Veep of the LSU Community.
