KVIP facility inaugurated at Alata Kokodo beach

Apam (C/R) Dec. 11, GNA - The Kufuor Administration would not discriminate in the sharing of the national cake, District Chief Executive for Gomoa, Madam Joyce Aidoo, has said. She said this when inaugurating a 22-seater KVIP public toilet built at the cost of 82 million cedis from the sale of Pre-mix petrol by fishermen operating at Alata Kokodo beach, a suburb of Apam on Thursday.

Mad. Aidoo said the assembly had acquired 40 electricity poles for an electrification projects in the district.

She mentioned some of the communities to benefit from the electrification project as Adaa, Kyiren, Ngyiresi, Brofo, Sampa, Manso, Ohua, Antseadze and Odumasi, all in the Gomoa District. Madam Aidoo said a fish market, cold store and KVIPs, would be constructed at Apam.

The DCE commended the assembly member of the area, Mr. Paul Essel and the Apofohene of Apam, Nana Caiquoo rpt. Caiquoo for their contribution towards the successful completion of the toilet. A member of the local pre-mix fuel committee, Madam Grace Okoe, appealed to the government to help build a fishing harbour at Apam. Mr. Joe Donkor, a businessman, called on the people of the area to patronize the toilet and stop defecating at the beach.
