Kade DCE in hot waters

The Kade National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency executives in the Eastern Region have appealed to President Mahama to remove Emmanuel Aboagye Osei, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Kwaebibirim.

In a statement, the Youth Organizer of the constituency, Mr. Evans Nifah and others said the DCE should be sacked because he is not qualified for the position.

According to the angry NDC members, the DCE had abandoned projects which were begun by his predecessors such as the Kade Lorry Park, market, construction of gutters, community centre, and a proposed stadium.

They alleged that Mr. Aboagye Osei had spent over GH¢450,000 on the celebration of the 23rd anniversary of the Kwaebibirm District Assembly and failed to account for it.

Mr. Nifah said that the DCE was at loggerhead with the NDC executives and had been relating to only the Constituency Chairman and the Women Organizer.

According to him, a grader which the former DCE bought for the Assembly had been parked at Asubi Filling Station and getting rotten instead of it being used to rehabilitate the bad roads in the district.

The NDC constituency executives alleged also that the DCE claims there is no money and so had not been paying the sitting allowances of the Assembly members.

Some of the Assembly members who spoke to DAILY GUIDE admitted that the DCE is incompetent and so were going to pass a vote of no confidence in him at an Assembly meeting last Friday but he failed to turn up.

DAILY GUIDE’s attempt to seek the side of Mr. Abogye Osei proved futile as he said he had nothing to tell the media.
