Mr Alifiu who was addressing the 6th Ordinary Meeting of the Assembly at Kadjebi, hinted of a scheme to motivate teachers who accept postings to remote areas of the district. Mr Joseph Ofori, Member of Parliament (MP) for Akan, observed that Ghana needed a strong Parliament, a very independent press and judiciary, and generally transparent, reliable and capable governance institutions supported by a vibrant private sector and a probing civil society to develop.
He gave the assurance that government would deliver on its promises and would offer equal opportunities for all. Mr Ofori said he was sponsoring 10 students in Senior High School, ICT Training institutions, and in tertiary schools with his share of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF),
