Karpowership Ghana Company Limited has supported 102 brilliant but needy students from the Tema Manhean Community. This forms part of the Company’s commitment to contribute to the communities within which it operates.

The beneficiaries were selected across five different schools: Manhean Presbyterian Primary A and B, Manhean TMA JHS 1 and 2, and the Manhean Community Primary School.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Corporate Communication Specialist for Karpowership Ghana Company Limited, Sandra Amarquaye, said “Our commitment to the Ghanaian society goes beyond the provision of reliable, efficient and affordable electricity. We believe in the adage that education is the major tool that can change the world and as a company we channel our investment in meeting the needs of the communities in this area.”

This year in addition to offering Scholarship, the company introduced a mentorship program for the community school, where students were taken through various subjects including financial literacy, the job market and its requirements, as well as gender equality.
