A 16-year-old Senior High School (SHS) student, Maybel, was overcome with emotion on Saturday when renowned contractor, Kofi Job, and his wife, Dr. Esther Gyebi, presented her with a generous donation of GH¢20,000 to support her education.
“I was so touched by Maybel’s thoughtful gesture of presenting us with her first practical cake,” said Kofi Job.
“It’s not every day that you see a young person showing such appreciation and gratitude. We decided to reward her kindness with a substantial donation to cater for her practical items.”
The couple’s kindness was in response to Maybel’s thoughtful gesture of presenting them with her first practical cake at the premises of OTEC FM. Maybel Nyarko, a Home Economics student, had initially received financial support from Kofi Job and his wife to purchase items on her school’s prospectus when she gained admission to SHS.
As a token of appreciation, she decided to bake a cake for the couple.
“I am forever grateful to Kofi Job and his wife for their kindness,” said Maybel, breaking down in tears. “The financial support has come at the right time, as I was struggling to pay my practical fees. I don’t know what I would have done without their help.”
Dr. Esther Gyebi added, “We believe in empowering young minds and supporting education in our community. Maybel’s story is a testament to the impact that kindness and generosity can have on someone’s life. We are committed to supporting her throughout her education, ensuring that she can focus on her studies without financial burdens.”
The Kofi Job Foundation has also pledged to support Maybel throughout her education, ensuring that she can focus on her studies without financial burdens.
This heartwarming gesture is a testament to the couple’s commitment to empowering young minds and supporting education in their community.
