The Komla Dumor Foundation has challenged journalists to develop investigative skills.

The foundation says such skills will make journalism more relevant and impact society positively.

Deputy Tourism Minister and board member of the foundation, Dzifa Gomashie, at the official launch of a website in memory of the late Ghanaian broadcaster, Thursday, challenged journalists in the country to endeavour to use their professional training for the benefit of society.

“Komla’s passion was investigative journalism, he investigated a lot of things. Through him, issues that we would not have ordinarily heard about, we heard about them. And we heard about it in a fair and balanced way.”

“We heard about all the sides. We heard about the views of other people, never about what he thought about it, never did he allow what he thought override what the truth was,” she stated.

The website, www.komladumorfoundation.org is expected, to among other things, provide a platform for journalists to dialogue on African development and broadcasting excellence.
