TV3 network in partnership with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, yesterday launched a unique Easter event called, the “Kumasi Easter Festival” at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi city.

The remarkable festival is aimed at bringing excitement to the great city of the Garden city of West Africa and also to open up a great business opportunity for the public at large.

Launching the event, the Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Hon. Kojo Bonsu remarked that the “this project stands to benefit all of us and so, I entreat all of you in the media to partner it and extensively promote it to make it a wonder”.

Adding that “my purpose and passion as the Mayor of Kumasi, is to see to it that Kumasi is raised to the standard and value it deserves. I want to see my people grow and offer them all opportunities to make progressive strides in all aspects of their lives, including family re-unions, growth in business and a great attraction for Ghana and beyond to see what we have”.

“For me, Easter is the most important calendar in the life of every Christian. Again in my view, Kumasi offers the best opportunity to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ because, the facilities are available; the people are hospitable and accommodating. It is in the light of this that we, KMA, have decided to partner with TV3 and Golden Tulip Kumasi City, to design and develop this Easter programme”. Hon. Bonsu stressed.

“We have a common goal; we are one people and we must have a collective goal to uplift the image and the potential of Kumasi. We at the KMA have made a brand statement “Kumasi city, where Ghana happens. We therefore need to really and indeed make Ghana happen, via Kumasi”. The Mayor emphasised.

He appealed to the media to team up with the team from TV3 to discuss areas in which all can take advantage of the festival in the businesswise.

The General Manager of Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi, Mr. Samuel Obiri Aduama, welcome the idea, describing it as “a massive and eventful social gathering” during the Easter period.
