The Kwanwoma Boys’ Senior High School (SHS) in the Atwima-Kwanwoma District, has appealed to the government to act with some haste to improve the school’s infrastructure for effective academic work.
Mr. Michael Ankwah, the acting Headmaster, said inadequate structures were making it difficult for smooth teaching and learning.
He told the GNA during a visit to the school that they were not only struggling with classroom space but were without a library, laboratory and an administration block.
It, additionally, lacks teachers’ accommodation, dormitories, school bus and plagued with irregular water supply.
He said the situation where the teachers ware not housed on campus presented problems with supervision as they were unable to closely monitor the activities and movements of the students.
Mr. Ankwah complained about the poor and dusty road leading to the school and said the dust nuisance had been simply unbearable for both students and the teachers.
The SHS, started two years ago, is sitting on a huge undeveloped land. It offers courses in General Arts and Visual Arts.
