Chief of Kwanwoma in the Ashanti region, Nana Amponsah Kwaa IV, has called on Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to prioritize addressing the issue of dollar hoarding and its impact on inflation during his campaign tour of the region.

During a meeting with Dr. Bawumia and his campaign team, Chief Kwaa IV expressed concern about the increasing practice of hoarding U.S. dollars, which he believes is contributing to rising prices and economic hardship in the country.

"We need a serious action plan and strategies to ensure that people stop hoarding dollars," Chief Kwaa IV urged. "This practice is fueling inflation and making it difficult for ordinary Ghanaians to afford basic necessities."

The chief's call for action highlights the growing concern about economic challenges in Ghana, and his direct appeal to Dr. Bawumia underscores the importance of addressing these issues.

In a powerful address during a courtesy visit from Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his campaign team, the prominent chief in the Atwima Kwanwoma district issued a call for national unity and urged citizens to take action in support of Ghana's economic development.

The chief expressed concern over the hoarding of U.S. dollars by individuals, stating that this practice is exacerbating the country's economic challenges. "Every cedi counts towards building our nation," he declared. "By exchanging dollars for cedis, we can ensure that our resources are utilized effectively for the betterment of our communities."

The chief highlighted the government's free education policy but stressed the need for additional support to ensure that all children have access to nutritious meals. He noted that many students, especially day students, are not fully benefiting from the school feeding program.

"We cannot rely solely on the government to solve these problems," he said. "I urge our affluent citizens to step forward and assist in supporting our school feeding initiative so that every child has access to nutritious meals."

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his campaign team listened intently to the chief's remarks and expressed appreciation for his commitment to fostering community engagement in national development efforts. The visit serves as a reminder of the importance of collective responsibility in driving the nation forward.
