Lady paralyzed after a gang rape

A lady in her early 20s has been paralyzed after a gang rape at Abrepo in the Bantama Constituency of the Ashanti region.

She is in critical condition at the Komfi Anokye Teaching Hospital receiving treatment.

An eyewitness speaking to Abusua Fm’s Osei Kwadwo and Evans Osei Amoah said they heard loud screaming around 1 am Sunday but residents refused to go out due to fear of being attacked by armed robbers.

He said he came out later around 6 am only to find the victim naked in a coma lying in a small plantain farm in front of his house.

“Because of the critical condition we found her, we reported the case to Suntreso Police Command. They quickly responded to our call and came to her aid and sent her to the Konfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where she’s receiving treatment” he said.

A source at the Suntreso Police Station who confirmed the incident said the victim is still in a coma, adding that the Police will get all the necessary information after her recovery.

Meanwhile, some persons who visited the incident scene suspect that the victim is a Sex Worker.

According to them, condoms and other materials were found inside her bag.

Police have since commenced an investigation into the matter.
