Let's encourage sexual reproductive health education in schools

Ankobeahemaa of Larteh, Kronti division, Nana Akosua Danquah Amoabea ll has called on all Ghanaians to help deal with teenage pregnancy, breast cancer and reproductive health among students in the country.

She said that is the only way to reduce the menace among female students in our schools.

Nana Amoabea ll who is also the CEO of Ohemaa Akuaba Foundation, an NGO, was speaking to the students of St. Martins senior high school in Adoagyiri when her outfit donated books to the school.

She advised students to also take their lessons seriously and desist from attitudes that can affect their educational careers in the future.

"The time has come for us to educate our students especially the on dangers of teenage pregnancy and whiles there should also be periodic checks of of breast cancer among the females," she said.

The NGO which was launched some weeks ago has already distributed books worth thousands of cedis to schools within New Juaben, Akwapim north, Yilo krobo as well as Nsawam-Adoagyiri districts.

Nana Amoabea ll pledged her continuous support to the quality of education in the country at all times and however appealed to fellow NGOs to do their best in ensuring the success of education on the country.

She was optimistic the donation will go a long way to assist both students and teachers thereby improving teaching and learning in schools.

She therefore urged students to make good use of the books in order to have positive impact on them.
