Let us avoid vices affecting the youth- Akyeamehene

Atebubu (B/A), Jan 9, GNA- Nana Asibah Morosah, Akyeamehene of the Atebubu Traditional Area in Brong-Ahafo, has called for concerted efforts to halt the vices and lead the youth to the path of rectitude. Inaugurating the Akomade Development Fun Club on Saturday at Akomade near Atebubu, he asked the members therefore to put in place relevant programmes

that could mould the youth to be creative and productive. Nana Morosah noted that the strength of any nation depended on the capacity of its youth since they were the future leaders of the country. Mr Amankwa Kokro, Assemblyman for Konkrompe electoral area, urged the members to be beacons of peace, pointing out that no nation can progress amidst confusion.

He advised them to demonstrate a high sense of discipline and comply with the rules and regulations of the club.

Mr Emmanuel Asante, Assemblyman for Akomade, noted that the demands of the people were challenging and asked the members to assist in getting the area developed.

Mr Kofi Amoakohene, who chaired the function, admonished members to avoid mediocrity and take education seriously to achieve laurels. He warned them against constituting themselves into a pressure group against the government at the expense of development and advised the club to work in close collaboration with the assemblyman and the unit committee members for the development of the area.
