Member of Parliament for Tema East Constituency, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, has called on the Chiefs and people of Tema to unite in order to reclaim all that belonged to them irrespective or regardless of their political affiliations.

The Deputy Transport Minister made the statement when he called on the Tema Mantse Nii Adjei Kraku II and members of the Traditional council to donate some food stuffs, assorted drinks, mineral water and an undisclosed amount of money to support the 2019 Tema Homowo festival.

The donation to the traditional council was preceded by donation of food items, water and drinks to all the twenty three clan houses as well as some elders and members of the traditional council by a delegation from his office a day before today.

Addressing the chiefs, Titus-Glover mentioned that he has successfully initiated the dredging of the Chemu lagoon by the Ministry of Works and Housing which once served as a source of fish for the people of Tema during closed sea fishing season.

He said the dredging will start as soon as the procurement processes are completed in about two or three months time.

The Minister also mentioned numerous projects ongoing that he initiated and facilitated which includes the Tema Bankuman roads which will run through Manhean, Abonkor, Ziginshore as well as parts of Tema community one, Tema Manhean Hospital which will start as soon as the procurement processes are completed by the end of this month, Titus-Glover mini stadium at Tema community one, Tema Mantse Sports Complex, a project initiated by the council and facilitated by him to be ready by end of December, ongoing National Health Insurance office at the Manhean Health Center and many more.

Nii Tema was full of praise for the Member of Parliament for Tema East for his continuous support for the people of Tema during their Kpelejoo and Homowo festivals. He said the MP has been phenomenal in their festive celebrations since he tool office in 2013 and that the Members of Parliament for Tema Central and West should emulate him. Addressing the media, he discounted claims that the traditional council do not have a cordial relationship with the MP and Deputy Minister of Transport. He said that the MP has always swiftly responded to their call when need be.

"We sometimes disagree with him on issues but at the end we resolve amicably. The teeth sometimes bite the tongue even though they work together. It is in every institution. That doesn't mean that we fight or our relationship is not cordial." Nii Tema.

He said Hon. Titus-Glover is a very courageous leader and all must unite and rally behind since the development and progress of Tema was key.

The MP was accompanied by Mr. Stephen Aboagye (2nd Vice Chairman of Tema East NPP), Solomon Sackitey (Secretary), Mr. Joshua Kwesi Larbie (Organizer), Mr. Seth Agyepong (Deputy Organizer), Mr. Dennis Amanor Tetteh (Research and Elections Officer), Mr. Patrick Gakpa (Communication Officer) and some party coordinators as well as a few party members.
