Little Smile Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in the Northern part of Ghana in collaboration with Savannah, Optical Services held an outreach program and donated some items to the Nyohani Orphanage, a children

home located in Nyohani, a suburb community in the Tamale Metropolis.

Items donated among other things included; Ceralac, Toiletries, Detergents, Diapers, Washing powders, Parazone and other necessities to aid in improving the living condition of the orphans.

According to Madam Yusif Shawana, the founder of Little Smile Foundation, the orphanage currently has a total number of twenty-six (26) orphans under its care, two of which are still breastfeeding and one of them said to have a medical condition.

She said the aim of the outreach was to support the orphanage, provide education to people about glaucoma and how the symptoms look like and also provide free medical care including eye screening for all inmates and the public.

Madam Shawana also clarifies that this was not her first time reaching out to the orphanage adding that, she has been doing it over some time now.

Madam Shawana appealed to the public to support the foundation so they can do more to keep smiles on the faces of these orphans.

She extended her gratitude to the benevolent people, friends, and love ones who believe in the Foundation mission and supported them to embark on the donation exercise.

She urged the public to make it a point to at least occasionally pay a visit to the orphanages, support them and show them love and care just like we do to our own children.
