Lockwood Institute of Business Education in collaboration with Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) would on October start a degree programme in Accra in applied accountancy from Oxford Brookes University.
The degree program will attract four awards in 3 years including Diploma in Accounting and Business, Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business, BSc in Applied Accounting and ACCA professional qualification.
Franklin Asare, Executive Director of Lockwood Institute, said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra.
He said in addition the Institute would focus on entrepreneurial skills to enable the students come out with business strategies of creating jobs in the country and leadership skills as well.
Mr Asare said the institute offered training in Accounting Software in SAP, TALLY and SAGE as well as facilitate knowledge transfer and help students to gain and realize their full benefits of their investment in accounting software packages.
He added that the Institute had three main training programs in Business Education, Continuous Professional Development and Accounting Software Training.
Mr Asare said Lockwood Institute also offered professional development courses to equip our clients with the skills to succeed in the business world.
“The Continuous Professional Development targets corporate entities in both Private and Public sector including Project Management, Leadership Skills Development, Time Management, Corporate Planning and Budget,” he added.
