Apam (C/R), May 5, GNA - The Gomoa West Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Ben Kobena Afful, has appealed to candidates who contested the party's primaries in the constituency to bury their differences and rally behind the winner to ensure a resounding victory in the December general elections.

Mr Afful advised the contestants to regard the result as a popular decision and put bitterness behind them.

Speaking at Apam at a reception organised by Mr Joe Kingsley Hackman, a lecturer in Building Technology at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, who beat four others to win the constituency election, Mr Afful said it would be ideal if all the contestants join Mr Hackman's campaign team.

That, he said, would make their supporters realise that they have united for a common goal.

Miss Grace Okoe, the constituency women organiser, advised Mr Hackman to extend a hand of friendship to other contestants and all those who were not in his camp.

Miss Okoe, popularly called Santana, commended the regional and national executives of the party and the district electoral officer for conducting a peaceful primary.

She appealed to the supporters to work hard to enable the party snatch the seat from the NDC.
