She said the professionals would include adolescent reproduction health experts, who will feature prominently in the discussions in a bid to enhance the knowledge of the young girls, in respect of this “Taboo” subject.

Dr Boohene-Andah said the project is targeting 200 girls from selected SHS’s in every region of the country, who will in turn propagate the information to their peers.

She said her inspiring and captivating life story and experience has given her the desire to positively impact the lines of the youth, with emphasis on the girl child.

Dr Boohene-Andah said it was worrying to see girls, especially Kayayei suffering in the country, which could be avoided by engaging them to listen, see and hearing the lives stories of successful female professionals.

Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur, the Second Lady who was the Special Guest of Honour, said the girls of today’s generation now needs answers to their problems.

She hoped that the project will help find answers to the problems of the youth in the country, especially girls.
