Nsawam (E/R) April 10, GNA- Mr. Seth Dankwa Wiafe, Member of Parliament for Akuapem South has donated 140 bags of cement to Zongo community at Adoagyiri, Nsawam in the Akuapem South District to enable them complete work on a 200 million-cedis drainage system in the area. The MP who made the donation on Saturday said it was funded from his share of MP's common fund.
He said the donation formed part of his promise made to the people and assistance to improve sanitation in the area. Mr. Dankwa called on the people not to perceive the New Patriotic Party (NPP) campaign promises to achieve political expediency, adding that it was a pledge and determination on its part to better the lot of Ghanaians.
He called on the electorate to give NPP another term to enable it accomplish the promises and continue with good governance.
Mr. Frank Ntim the unit committee chairman for the area who received the items on behalf of the community thanked the MP for the support. He said the community is faced with erosion, which has exposed foundation level of many buildings in the area.
He assured that the completion of the drain in the area would address the problem and enhance sanitation in the area.
