MP expresses condolence to bereaved families

Kumasi, May 17, GNA - Mr Benito Owusu-Bio, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima-Nwabiagya, on Wednesday expressed his condolence to the bereaved families of victims of the motor accident that occurred on Monday night at Akropong Junction in his constituency on the Kumasi/Sunyani highway. He also conveyed his condolence in a statement he issued in Kumasi to the Abuakwa parish of the Catholic Church where most of the people who lost their lives worshipped.

Kumasi, May 17, GNA - Mr Benito Owusu-Bio, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima-Nwabiagya, on Wednesday expressed his condolence to the bereaved families of victims of the motor accident that occurred on Monday night at Akropong Junction in his constituency on the Kumasi/Sunyani highway. He also conveyed his condolence in a statement he issued in Kumasi to the Abuakwa parish of the Catholic Church where most of the people who lost their lives worshipped. Mr Owusu-Bio expressed gratitude to the people of Akropong, Atwima-Koforidua and nearby communities as well as the security agencies and health personnel on duty at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) who acted swiftly to save the lives of accident survivors and also helped to convey the dead to the morgue. Thirty-nine choristers of the Abuakwa parish of the Catholic Church died when a 207 Benz bus conveying the choristers to attend a funeral vigil of their parish priest at Akwaboah collided with the STC bus.
