MTN support Akyem Tafo Ohum festival

Peter Bimpeh, Senior Manager for the South East Business District of Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN), has assured that his company is committed to supporting development in all the communities that they operate through sustainable corporate social responsibility (CSR).

He said MTN has over the years, through the MTN Foundation, improved access to health care, education and economic livelihood of many people which were impacting the lives of more than 4,000,000 Ghanaians.

Mr Bimpeh made these remarks when MTN paid a visit to the chiefs and people of Akyem Tafo in connection with the celebration of the Akyem Ohum Festival at Old Tafo in the Eastern Region.

MTN presented a cheque for GHS5,000.00, airtime worth as well as drinks hamper worth GHS1,000.00 and other assorted MTN souvenirs as part of their support to the chiefs and people in the area.

In addition, the company also carried out data activations throughout the festive period at vantage points to give the customers an experiential feel.

The Chief of Akyem Tafo, Osabarima Adusei Peasah IV, commended MTN for their continuous contribution to supporting the Akyem Tafo Ohum festival.

He assured the management of MTN that the festival would offer lots of activities that the company can use to propagate its products and services to the people in the area.
