Mechanic pays NHIS registration for children of orphanage

Sunyani, June 17, GNA - A Sunyani-based auto mechanic and spare part s dealer, Mr. James Osei-Assibey, has donated GHC 350.00 for National Healt h Insurance Scheme registration of 35 children of the Hanukah Orphanage in Sunyani. The amount will cover each of the 35 children for 30 months. Mr. Osei-Assibey told the Ghana News Agency that the donation was hi s "widow's mite" to assist the owners and management of the orphanage to ma ke life worth living for the children.

Sunyani, June 17, GNA - A Sunyani-based auto mechanic and spare part s dealer, Mr. James Osei-Assibey, has donated GHC 350.00 for National Healt h Insurance Scheme registration of 35 children of the Hanukah Orphanage in Sunyani. The amount will cover each of the 35 children for 30 months. Mr. Osei-Assibey told the Ghana News Agency that the donation was hi s "widow's mite" to assist the owners and management of the orphanage to ma ke life worth living for the children. He said his motivation was because it was not the responsibility of only the government, charitable and non-governmental organizations to cat er for the social and economic well-being of the needy in the society. Mr. Osei-Assibey said he would renew the NHIS registration for the children when it expires. Mr. Raphael Kwampong Santa, the administrator/accountant of the orphanage, said the presentation was worthy of emulation and therefore expressed appreciation to the donor.
