Sekondi, Dec 19, GNA - The Sekondi Diocese of the Methodist Church would soon establish a bible school, a training college and upgrade the Gwira health post.

Very Rev Daniel De-graft Brace, Diocesan Synod Secretary of the church, said this after he had been sworn-in a new synod secretary of the church at Sekondi on Sunday.

He said the decision of the church to go into the bible school is to correct some of the wrong and false doctrines being peddled around, train more people for the ministry, while the college would assist in the creation of employment opportunities for members of the church, the community and the diocese.

Rev. Brace said the Gwira community, which is in the Nzema East District, is very deprived and the church would rehabilitate their health post and equip it with modern equipment to make health care easily accessible for the people.

Right Rev. John Harvey-Ewusi, Bishop of the Diocese, said leaders of the various churches must learn to meet the spiritual and physical needs of all its members.

"It would be morally wrong for any church to develop the spiritual needs of its members to the detriment of other aspects of the individual," he said.

Bishop Harvey-Ewusi said leaders, pastors, heads of organisations and all others working in any section of the church, should be submissive, patient, courageous and understanding.
