Mike Hammah presents desks and teachers' tables to Effutu GES

Winneba, June 8, GNA - Mr Mike Hammah, the Minister of Transport, has donated 650 dual desks, 140 teachers' tables and chairs worth 30,000.00 Ghana cedis to the Municipal Education Directorate for distribution to schools in the Municipality.

Mr Hammah, the Member of Parliament for Effutu, said the fund for the items and renovation of the Effutu Nsuekyir Municipal Assembly Junior Secondary School block was from the GETFund.

He said the donation was in fulfilment of part of his campaign promise to support teaching and learning in the area.

The Minister appealed to the Education Directorate to ensure that the items got to the schools to motivate both teachers and pupils to curb the falling standard of education in the Municipality. Receiving the items Mrs Nelly S. Coleman, Assistant Director in charge of Administration, thanked the Minister for the donation. 08 June 10
