Mr. Joseph Tetteh Angmor, District Chief Executive for Upper Manya, has described the late President John Evans Atta Mills as a peace loving person who never wished evil for his fellow human being.
“Such a personality should be celebrated and emulated by the present generation and the generations yet to come,” he emphasized.
He has therefore urged Ghanaians to preach the message of peace before, during and after the general elections in December this year.
Mr. Angmor said this at a funeral service for the late President John Evans Atta mills at Asesewa at the weekend.
The Asesewa lorry park, which was the venue for the funeral service, was filled with people from all walks of life to pay their last respect to the departed president.
The atmosphere was a very solemn one as people sat glued to their seats to watch live the final funeral rites of the late president on a giant screen mounted at the lorry park.
Mr. Angmor urged Ghanaians to ensure that the death of the President unite the country.**
