Kumasi, June 24, GNA - Mr Opoku-Agyemang Prempeh, the Executive President of the Centre for Moral Education (CEMED), on Friday suggested to Ministers of State and Government Functionaries to turn down invitations to functions due to pressure of work. He said turning down invitations would be better than accepting such invitation but arriving at the function very late.

''It is more dignifying not to honour such invitations than accept them and keep people waiting for long hours before arriving. This attitude erodes the confidence people have in such Ministers,'' Mr Prempeh said at the opening of a day's seminar for leaders of some virgins clubs in the Kumasi Metropolitan Area on Thursday. The seminar educated them on how to instil sound moral values in the youth. Mr Prempeh said apart from undermining their dignity, Ministers, who cultivate that habit, encouraged the young ones to copy such an attitude.
