For the first time in the history of Ghana's elections, African models under its Models Africa Alliance (MAA) have come together to march and call for peace during and after the November 7th Elections.

The group on Saturday marched through parts of the Ring Road of Accra and visited the offices of some political parties all the way to the Flagstaff House.

The concerned peace ambassadors led by their Patron Dr. Nana Oppong visited the NDC regional office, NPP Headquarters and the CPP Headquarters.

According to Dr. Oppong, the models were drawn from accross Africa including Francophone countries to join their Ghanaian counterparts to march for peaceful 2016 Elections.

"Ghana is the only country we have; Ghana is our only beautiful motherland; we don't need any war, MAA stands for PEACE," Dr. Oppong passionately emphasised.

He went on to add that both winners and losers of the elections should be ready to accept the declared votes.

This, he identified, would go a long way for Ghana to remain peaceful as a shining example to Africa and the rest of the world.

"After voting on November 7th please go home and monitor the results from the media and other networks; there should be no violence whatsoever at any polling station," Dr. Oppong said.

He further urged the Charlotte Osei-led Electoral Commission, to ensure that electoral processes are well publicised for electorates to understand the process and go by the rules.

Dr. Oppong also urged all political parties to be calm and the take the election results in good faith no matter which direction the votes should go or who wins.
