Kumasi, March 07, GNA - Alhaji Ahmed Akwasi Yeboah, acting Kwabre District Chief Executive, has called on Muslim youth to refrain from criminal activities.

He was unhappy with crimes involving particularly the youth of the Islamic faith and advised that they should not do anything that would negatively affect the image of Islam.

Alhaji Yeboah said this when he inaugurated a 120 million-cedi ablution house of the Fourth Battalion of Infantry (4BN) mosque in Kumasi at the weekend.

The house, which comprises 72 ablution cabins, 40 urinal chambers and seven water closets, was funded through contributions from worshippers.

The acting DCE stressed the need for the public to report or expose known criminals to the security agents for their arrest. Captain Shamsu Diin, Chief Imam of the 4BN, urged Muslims to love one another and pray for the government and the people of Ghana.
