An assembly member at Oforikrom in Kumasi has appealed to Muslims to attach more importance to secular education to better their socio-economic situation.
Mr. Mustapha Sulemana said it should not be lost on anybody that education was the path to the progress of the individual, community and the nation.
It was for this reason that all children of school going age needed to be enrolled.

He called for effective supervision of children to check the situation where many of them spent more time watching films than reading their books.
