Accra, Oct 16, GNA - The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Monday expressed its deepest condolence to the families of three of its members, who were killed in motor accident while on their way to attend a political rally at Kokote as part of preparations for the Offinso Constituency Bye-Election over the weekend.

A statement signed by Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, General Secretary of the Party, wished those injured speedy recovery

The party said it had received with shock the news about a lorry accident involving a vehicle conveying its members and supporters to a rally resulting in the death of Rashida Halidu; Salamatu Abdul-Rahman a.k.a. KAKA and Mr Owusu and injuring several others.

"The National Executive Committee of the Party urges the family of Ms. Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, the Party's candidate for the Offinso Bye-Election, to gather courage in the face of this extremely traumatizing experience keeping in mind that there is always a cross before a crown," it said.
