Nankuma (B/A), Jan 13, GNA- Mr. Smart Tommy Jones, Vice-Chairman of Nkoranza Constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged eligible members of the party to register when the voters' register is re-opened to be able to exercise their franchise during this year's general election.

Mr. Jones was addressing a meeting of members of the party at Nankuma, a farming community in the Nkoranza district, convened to discuss plans by the constituency executives towards the elections. He asked them to guard against the use of provocative or insulting statements against members of other parties to prevent animosity.

''Political opponents are not enemies and NDC members should avoid exchanging words or fighting with other party members, as that can affect the peace in the country'', he said.

Mr. Samuel Owusu, chairman of the Akuma zonal branch of the party, advised the youth to be law-abiding and shun negative practice that could cast a slur on the party.

He advised members of the party to remain united and vote massively to bring NDC back to power.
