NDC re-organises its executive at Asante-Akim South

Juaso (Ash) Jan. 12, GNA- The Asante-Akim South constituency of the NDC at the week-end held elections to fill vacant executive positions following the death of the chairman and resignations of other members. Mr Evans Ohene, a farmer and a businessman was elected unopposed to replace the former chairman, Malam King Mohammed Frempong, a driver who was killed in a motor accident about six months ago.

Mr Abudulia Abubaker, a branch chairman of Asante-Praso was also elected unopposed as the vice-chairman to replace Mr Serious G.K. Acorlor, who resigned.

Mr Abass Mubarak Abass, Assemblyman for Dabiaso in Juaso beat Mr Agyepong Boadi by 17 votes to six to become the new youth organiser to replace Mr R.C. Nyame who also resigned.

Others are Mr Isaac Kwaku Adansi, a maintenance engineer, was elected deputy youth organiser, while Mr Paul Obeng was elected deputy propaganda secretary.

Mr Yaw Bempong, Ashanti regional youth organiser who supervised the elections, advised the new executives to work hard to prop the NDC up in the constituency.

Mr Bempong said the lies and half truths about NDC that were peddled when the NPP took power three years ago, have now been exposed during the various press conferences by its ministers and now people have seen the good works of the NDC.
