NIB donates to Mawuli School

The National Investment Bank (NIB) has donated one hundred and eighty-eight (188) desks at a cost of GH¢16,000.00 to the Mawuli School, in the Volta Region.

The presentation, which is part of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility, under its “Save-a- School” Project (SAS), is to augment the acute furniture problems of the School and to boost academic work.

The Save-a-School Project is aimed at providing quality infrastructure and other amenities that would enhance teaching and learning in communities where the Bank operates.

It also involves renovating and refurbishing dilapidated infrastructure in schools.

Mr John Osei-Nyansah, the Headmaster, received the donation on behalf of the school, from Mr Charles Wordey, the Head of Corporate Affairs of NIB.

He thanked the Bank for the generous support saying the donation was a great relief for the School.

Mr Osei-Nyansah promised that the desks would be put to good use and urged other institutions to emulate the gestures of the NIB.

The National Investment Bank Limited was established as an autonomous joint state-private institution by an Act of Parliament (Act 163) on March 22, 1963.

As the first development bank in the country, it was established primarily to promote and strengthen rapid industrialization in all sectors of the Ghanaian economy.
