The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has donated GH¢100,000 to support traders affected by the recent fire at the Kwadaso market in the Ashanti Region.

A devastating fire swept through parts of the market, destroying 40 shops and causing millions of cedis in losses.

A delegation from the Ashanti Regional branch of the NPP, led by Bernard Antwi Boasiako, alias Chairman Wontumi, and the Municipal Chief Executive Agyenim Boateng Richmond, visited the market to sympathize with the victims and present the donation.

Mr. Boasiako pledged the party's continued support to the fire victims.

The Municipal Chief Executive assured traders that the assembly would soon fix the burned area and called for calm as the assembly mobilized resources to develop the market.

The donation and visit demonstrate the NPP's commitment to supporting affected traders and helping them recover from the losses incurred in the fire.
