Bawku, June 11, GNA - Two New Patriotic Party (NPP) elders in Bawku, Alhaji Ablabila Amandi and Alhaji Yakubu Salifu, have appealed to Mr. Alan Kyerematen, an aspiring flag bearer of the party, to create more jobs for the youth in Bawku should he become the President in 2013. The elders said this when Mr Kyerematen paid a courtesy call on the relatives of one of the founding fathers of the NPP in Bawku, the late Adam Amandi.

They said the creation of employment for the youth in the area would prevent them from being used by people at the expense of the lives of the people in the area. The elders said it was important to honour past heroes of the party who suffered to build the party.

Alhaji Amandi and Alhaji Salifu said they would support the aspirant to become the flag bearer describing him as somebody who they thought had the vision and foresight to propel the party to victory in 2012. Mr Kyerematen promised to fulfil their desires should they give him their mandate and said he would create more jobs for the people in the area. Mr. Kyerematen also paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Bawku Traditional Area, Naba Azoka Abugrago II, to told the chief that he would support the Bawku Traditional Council and help bring about peace and more development to the area.

Mr. Kyerematen and his campaign team visited all the 13 constituencies in the Region. 11 June 10
