NPP forms clubs to promote Asamoah Boateng's campaign

Saltpond (C/R), Jan. 28, GNA - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has formed clubs in a number of communities in the Mfantseman West Constituency to promote Mr Stephen Asamoah Boateng in his campaign to win the parliamentary seat. The fan club was formed in a number of communities in the constituency to Mr. Asamoah Boateng, a Deputy Minister of Information is the party's candidate for the constituency.

Addressing a meeting at Saltpond, Mr. James D. Ehuren constituency chairman of the party cautioned members of the clubs to operate within the confines of the party's constitution.

He said anyone who would use his membership of the club to foment trouble within the party would be sanctioned.

He urged them to conduct their activities in a disciplined manner, adding that "as members of the ruling party we need to set good examples for others to emulate."

Mr. Ehuren urged them to intensify their campaign to enable the party to snatch the seat from the NDC.

Mr. Joseph Boison the constituency secretary urged the youth to rally behind the party and vote massively for it in the next general elections to continue with programmes to improve their standard of living.

Miss Esi Dankwah the constituency women's organiser advised members of the party who were 18 years and above to register when the voters' register was opened to enable them to exercise their franchise.
