NPP government is serving the country with humility

Sunyani, April 12, GNA- Nana Kwadwo Seinti, Brong Ahafo Regional Minister said at the weekend that the NPP government is serving the people with humility and would not intimidate anybody.

The government has utmost respect for every citizen and would not cast insinuations, insult or castigate anybody in order to perpetuate itself in power.

Nana Seinti was addressing thousands of Christians at separate conventions of the Church of Pentecost, Assemblies of God Church in Sunyani and The True Church of Christ at Chiraa on Easter Sunday.

He urged Christians to focus attention on the message and significance of Easter and think of how to redirect Ghanaians to avoid evil and unproductive practices.

"Man has become so sadistic and perpetrates all kinds of crimes against his neighbour, including armed robbery, rape, defilement, drug abuse and prostitution, which all stink in the sight of God", Nana Seinti said.

He said all these practices were rife in the communities because "many are still wallowing in darkness and have not seen Christ" and expressed the hope that churches should intensify their evangelism so that many people could be saved.

At the Church of Pentecost, the Regional Minister advised it to, apart from the formal schools that it had, provide vocational skills and training for the youth.

Skills like carpentry and joinery, soap making, tie and dye and batik readily provide employment for the people and help them to set up their own private businesses, he said.

Nana Seinti urged members of the church to embrace the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), "which is intended to make health service delivery in the country affordable and accessible to all Ghanaians whether rich or poor".

He advised them to go in for their photo ID cards when the exercise starts in the region on Wednesday so that they would not be disenfranchised.

Nana Seinti urged Christians to pray for peaceful electioneering campaign and elections in December.

He stressed that by celebrating Easter, "the Lord Jesus by dying on the Cross has given mankind hope and we must build on so that we could contribute to the nation's growth and prosperity".

The Regional Minister advised people not to litter surroundings with especially plastic bags, as the practice was a menace to the environment.

The Reverend Adu Yeboah, Sunyani District Pastor of the Church of Pentecost, urged members to let the celebration of Easter give them a new lease in their lives so that they could continue to be law-abiding and contribute their quota as responsible citizens to national growth.

Speaking at a convention of the True Church of Christ at Chiraa, Nana Seinti urged Ghanaians to repent from sins and refrain from indulging in unproductive activities that retarded the development of the country.

He commended Christians for their prayers, "which have helped to lift the country from the doldrums of the past years" and the people for their positive response to the campaigns against bushfires.

Prophet Lucy Cudjoe, founder of the Church asked members to abide by laws "so that together we can move the country forward".

Barima Minta Afari 11, Chiraahene, advised members of the Church to be truthful and co-operate with each other to strengthen their resolve to serve God, the church and the country.

He advised them to avoid unnecessary litigations and use their resources judiciously for personal progress.
