The New Patriotic Party will on Friday, December 16 begin a national thanksgiving service, starting with Muslims.
The Chief Imam, Dr Nuhu Sharubutu, will be leading the Muslim Thanksgiving service at the Central Mosque, Abosai Okai, on Friday, December 16, 2016.
The events will be organized under the distinguished patronage of the President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo.
In a statement signed by acting General Secretary, John Boadu, the Christian service will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium, under Psalm 20 verse 5: “We will rejoice in thy salvation and in the name of our God. We will set up our banners. The Lord fulfill all thy petition.”
In attendance at both events will be the Vice President-elect, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, NPP Members of Parliament-elect and the leadership of the party.
“Members of the general public are cordially invited to these events to thank God and seek His blessings for the incoming administration,” the statement said.
