Nadowli-Kaleo District Assembly will in the coming month, award 8 different developmental projects to help improve the status of the district.
A committee on May 13, 2018 sat on tender documents to approve for the award of 8 contracts across the district.
The assembly would be constructing a magistrate Court and a District Fire Service Station with a mechanized borehole in Nadowli.
A teachers quarters will also be built at Da-Uri in the district.
The assembly would also be rehabilitating a 1NO. Agricultural Extension Service staff quarters at Charikpong, Furnish CHPS Compounds at Meguo, Biire and Kpangadinga and also supply mono desks and teachers’ furniture to Sankana Model Girls JHS.
There would be extention of electricity to CHPS compound at Nator, Loho, Goli and Tangasia and Rehabilitation of Agricultural Extention Services Staff quarters at Sankana.
In her address, the DCE for the district, Katherine T. Lankono called on all prospective contract winners to do quality job as she will not accept any shoddy work in the district.
She said all the contracts would be funded from the District Development fund.
The DCE said the contracts are part of her resolve to get the district develop and attain a municipal status by 2020.
Madam Katherine said the district has a lot of potentials and when lifted to the status of a municipality, will help attract investors to the district.
She commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for releasing GHC701,933.00 for the various projects to be executed across the district.
The DCE said the tender documents will now be taking to the Assembly Tender Evaluation committee before they are finally awarded.
